The Fukui Bank Fukui Bank Reports First Quarter Loss on Securities Holdings
TOKYO, Jul 31 (Pulse News Wire) – The Fukui Bank,ltd. (8362.T) reported a total unrealized loss of securities holdings amounting to ¥6.428 billion as of the end of the first quarter of fiscal year 2027.
This figure represents bonds held to maturity. In comparison, the bank's ordinary profit for the fiscal year ended March 2026 was ¥13.43 billion, resulting in an impact ratio of 47.8%. Additionally, the parent company shareholders' net income for the same period was ¥8.601 billion, leading to an impact ratio of 74.7%. The bank noted that the unrealized losses consist entirely of securities whose fair value could be reasonably estimated.
The book value of the targeted securities stood at ¥298.8 billion, while their fair value was assessed at ¥292.4 billion. Regarding the potential impact on future performance, the bank stated there would be no effect on its projected earnings for the fiscal year ending March 2027. However, the bank cautioned that actual results may differ due to various factors. As a reference, the bank’s first quarter-end date is June 30.
The total unrealized gain on securities held to maturity for the same period was nil, whereas the total unrealized loss amounted to -¥6.428 billion.
