The Bank Of Nagoya Nagoya Bank Reports First Quarter Unrealized Loss on Securities

– The Bank Of Nagoya,ltd. (8522.NG) reported a total unrealized loss of ¥10.62 billion on securities held-to-maturity as of June 30, 2027.

The bank’s consolidated ordinary profit for the fiscal year ended March 2026 was ¥28.08 billion, while the net income attributable to shareholders of the parent company was ¥20.27 billion during the same period. The unrealized loss represented 37.8% percent of the previous fiscal year's consolidated ordinary profit and 52.4% percent of the net income attributable to shareholders of the parent company. As per the note, the unrealized calculation includes all securities whose fair value could be reasonably estimated.

Despite the unrealized losses, the bank stated there would be no impact on its earnings forecast or dividend expectations for the fiscal year ending March 2027.
