THE BANK OF Kochi Kochi Bank Reports First Quarter Unrealized Loss on Securities
TOKYO, Jul 24 (Pulse News Wire) – THE Bank OF Kochi,ltd. (8416.T) reported a total unrealized loss of ¥327 million on securities held-to-maturity as of the end of the first quarter of fiscal 2027.
The bank's consolidated ordinary profit for the fiscal year ended March 2026 was ¥1.380 billion, while the net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company for the same period was ¥596 million. The unrealized loss represents 23.7% of the previous fiscal year’s consolidated ordinary profit and 54.8% of the net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company. All securities included in the calculation had prices that could be reasonably estimated.
Regarding the impact on future performance, the bank stated there would be no effect on its earnings forecast or dividend expectations for the fiscal year ending March 2027. However, the actual results may differ due to various factors going forward. In related notes, the bank disclosed that the holding companies and subsidiaries consolidate their first quarter-end on June 30.
Additionally, the total unrealized gain on securities held-to-maturity as of the first quarter-end of fiscal 2027 was ¥2 million, resulting in a net unrealized gain of -¥324 million after accounting for the unrealized losses.
