TEAC Reports Foreign Exchange Loss in Fourth Quarter Financial Results
TOKYO, May 13 (Pulse News Wire) – TEAC Corporation (6803.T) reported a foreign exchange loss of approximately ¥6 million in its fourth quarter consolidated results ending March 31, 2026. In contrast, during the third quarter, the company had recorded a gain of ¥91 million.
As a result, the net foreign exchange benefit for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, stood at ¥85 million. The fluctuating foreign exchange markets prompted TEAC to adjust the balance of debt and assets held in various currencies across its group operations.
This adjustment led to the reported loss in the final quarter of the fiscal year. The impact of these foreign exchange gains and losses is reflected in the company's consolidated earnings announcement released today, which adheres to IFRS standards.
