Tamron Denies Acquisition Report, Continues Review Process

TOKYO, Jul 30 (Pulse News Wire) – Tamron CO.,LTD. (7740.T) denied reports published yesterday on Diamond Online suggesting an acquisition proposal had been made for the company.

According to Tamron, the denial stems from confusion surrounding a non-binding offer received from Sony Corporation to fully integrate Tamron into the Sony Group through a series of transactions. In response to this offer, Tamron established a special committee to explore various options aimed at enhancing corporate value.
