TOKYO, Aug 03 (Pulse News Wire) – Sumitomo Corporation (sumitomo Shoji Kaisha,ltd.) (8053.T) announced the completion of its share repurchase program for July 2026. According to the company’s board resolution dated May 1, 2026, Sumitomo purchased a total of 13,025,000 shares during the period from July 1 to July 31, 2026, at a total cost of 20,641 261, ¥700.
This brings the cumulative number of shares repurchased since the decision to 46,450,200 shares, with a total expenditure of 77, 947 007, ¥300. The initial plan approved by the board allowed for the purchase up to 88 million shares shares, representing approximately 1.8% of outstanding shares excluding treasury stocks, within the price limit of ¥80.00 billion.
