Sumitomo Bakelite Company Reports Strong Q2 FY2026 Results Amid Robust Semiconductor Demand

TOKYO, May 11 (Pulse News Wire) – Sumitomo Bakelite Company,limited (4203.T) reported strong results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026. Revenue reached ¥106.4 billion, up significantly from the previous year.

Operating profit surged to ¥3.317 billion, reflecting robust demand in semiconductor materials and high-value product sales across segments. Net profit attributable to parent shareholders climbed to ¥28.50 billion, marking a substantial increase compared to the prior year's figure. In the quarter, the company saw significant growth in its semiconductor-related materials division, driven by increased demand for epoxy resin molding compounds and bonding pastes.

High-function plastics also contributed positively despite restructuring efforts in North America.
