Star Flyer Reports May 2026 Passenger Transport and Flight Performance

TOKYO, Jul 22 (Pulse News Wire) – Star Flyer Inc. (9206.T) reported its passenger transport and flight performance for May 2026.

In May, the company recorded a total of 140,064 passengers, marking a decrease of 1.5% compared to the previous year. Overall seat utilization across domestic routes stood at 79%, down slightly by 0.2 percentage points from the prior year. Domestic route-specific data showed mixed results. The Fukuoka-Tokyo route maintained strong performance with a seat utilization rate of 91.8%, up marginally by 0.2 percentage points.

However, the Fukuoka-Nagoya route saw a significant decline in seat utilization, dropping by 13.8 percentage points to 71.2%. Notably, the Fukuoka-Miyazaki route commenced operations on October 3, 2025. International routes did not report any figures due to ongoing suspension since March 11, 2020. Overall, while some domestic routes experienced improvements, others faced challenges, reflecting broader trends in air travel demand.
