Seibu Holdings Sets Up Capital Allocation Committee for Next Mid-Term Plan

– Seibu Holdings Inc. (9024.T) established a Capital Allocation Review Committee aimed at optimizing capital distribution and enhancing long-term corporate value.

The committee, comprising external and internal directors along with two industry experts, was set up to deliberate on optimal capital allocation strategies for the next mid-term plan covering fiscal years 2027 through 2029. At a board meeting held on July 31, the company decided to launch the committee to focus on maximizing per-share net asset value growth.

Key themes include redefining capital discipline and performance metrics across group operations, prioritizing capital allocation among real estate, hotel and leisure, urban transportation, and major properties, and devising concrete plans for portfolio optimization and value enhancement. The committee members consist of four outside directors, three inside directors, and two external advisors with expertise in corporate valuation, capital markets, and real estate.

Notable external advisor Hiroshi Habitori brings extensive experience from Goldman Sachs and academia, while Atushi Toda, formerly of Morgan Stanley and Citigroup, adds depth to the team's financial acumen.
