Sanyo Trading Decides Share Repurchase and Cancellation Plans
TOKYO, Aug 03 (Pulse News Wire) – Sanyo Trading CO.,LTD. (3176.T) decided on share repurchase and cancellation plans based on its SV2028 vision.
The company aims to enhance shareholder value through sustained improvements in enterprise value and ROE (return on equity). Under the plan, up to 148,900 shares will be repurchased at a total cost of ¥1.489 billion, representing approximately 0.4% of outstanding shares excluding treasury stock. The repurchase period runs from August 10, 2026, to August 09, 2027, via open-market purchases on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Additionally, the company resolved to cancel all acquired treasury shares on August 31, 2027. As of June 30, 2026, Sanyo Trading held 297,800 treasury shares out of a total of 37,225,000 outstanding shares (before considering a 1-for-2 stock split effective July 01, 2026). The move aligns with the company's strategy to maintain stable dividend payouts and pursue progressive dividend policies during the SV2028 period, targeting a payout ratio of more than 30%.
