Sanyo Chemical Industries to Split Shares 1-for-4 in September

– Sanyo Chemical Industries,ltd. (4471.T) announced plans to conduct a share split at a ratio of 1-to-4 on September 30, 2026.

The move aims to lower the investment amount per share, making it easier for investors to participate while enhancing liquidity and broadening the investor base. Under the plan, shareholders recorded in the final shareholder registry on the record date of September 30, 2026, will see their holdings increase proportionally. Prior to the split, the total number of outstanding shares was 22,534,752. Following the split, the total number of outstanding shares will rise to 90,139,008, with the total number of authorized shares becoming 206,364,800.

Additionally, the company's capital remains unchanged at the time of the split. However, the board also decided to cancel treasury shares on the same day, leading to the reported figures reflecting post-cancellation totals. Details on the cancellation of treasury shares can be found in a separate disclosure titled “Decision Regarding Matters Related to Share Repurchase and Decision Regarding Matters Related to Treasury Share Cancellation.” In conjunction with the share split, the company’s articles of incorporation will be amended effective October 1, 2026, increasing the total number of authorized shares from 51,591,200 to 206,364,800. The amendments were approved during the August 5, 2026, board meeting and will take effect immediately upon implementation.
