Refinverse Group Develops High-Purity Recycling Technology for Automotive Parts
TOKYO, May 18 (Pulse News Wire) – Refinverse Group,inc. (7375.T) has developed a high-purity recycling technology for automotive parts such as bumpers.
The company's new process allows for the precise removal of impurities like paint components from polypropylene resin used in car bumpers, achieving a purity level of over 99.9%. This breakthrough enables the regeneration of high-quality materials suitable for various applications, including Car to Car recycling. In recent years, approximately 252,000 vehicles are discarded annually in Japan, leading to significant waste of plastic resources. Traditional recycling methods face challenges due to difficulties in removing paint components and ensuring consistent quality.
However, REFINVERSE’s advanced separation technique overcomes these obstacles, making it possible to recycle bumper plastics with precision and environmental consideration. Looking ahead, the company plans to expand its circular supply chain network to enhance recovery systems for automotive bumpers. It expects the project to reach a scale of several hundred million yen within the next few years, aiming to commercialize recycled polypropylene materials. This initiative aligns with efforts to unlock untapped urban oil fields and promote sustainable resource circulation.
