Qualtec Ends Capital-Business Alliance With Patentix
TOKYO, Jul 30 (Pulse News Wire) – Qualtec CO.,LTD. (9165.T) announced on July 30 that it had dissolved its capital-business alliance with Patentix Corporation, which was established on November 20, 2023.
The decision came as part of a strategic shift aimed at focusing resources on evaluation equipment manufacturing to enhance corporate value. The alliance with Patentix, initiated in November 2023, involved participation in the "Lake Biwa Semiconductor Concept," a project aimed at advancing next-generation semiconductor technology through collaboration with Ritsumeikan University. However, Qualtec determined that reallocating resources towards power semiconductor evaluation equipment would accelerate commercialization and profitability. As such, the company decided to dissolve the alliance while continuing its partnership with Ritsumeikan University to foster long-term growth initiatives.
Additionally, Qualtec transferred its entire holding of Patentix shares totaling 19,912 ordinary shares on July 29, 2026, to an undisclosed party. The transaction price remains confidential due to agreement with the buyer. Looking ahead, Qualtec plans to concentrate its efforts on developing and selling evaluation devices such as power cycle test machines, leveraging its accumulated analysis and reliability assessment technologies. This move is expected to contribute to the company's revenue growth and sustainable development alongside ongoing projects like the MAP initiative.
