Nyle Acquires Video Editing School STEP UP to Expand Personal Education Business

TOKYO, Jul 23 (Pulse News Wire) – Nyle Inc. (5618.T) plans to acquire video editing school “STEP UP,” founded in April 2024, making it a subsidiary effective August 1, 2026.

The acquisition aims to leverage Nyle’s expertise in AI and digital transformation (DX) consulting to expand personal education services and strengthen long-term revenue bases. STEP UP, which focuses on individual online courses for mastering video editing skills, has shown steady growth since its establishment. It offers comprehensive curriculum planning and video production capabilities, targeting individuals seeking skill development. The school's operations have been bolstered by active social media marketing and mentor support systems.

Nyle expects the acquisition to enhance its customer acquisition channels through integrated marketing knowledge and SNS engagement strategies. The combined efforts aim to create a robust ecosystem connecting recruitment, education, and talent utilization, fostering career expansion for graduates and providing stable income opportunities. The transaction involves purchasing 100% of STEP UP’s outstanding shares, with additional shares potentially acquired through earnouts. Estimated costs, including advisory fees, total approximately ¥43 million.

While there may be minor impacts on consolidated performance in the fiscal year ending December 2026 due to related expenses and amortization, Nyle anticipates significant contributions to future profitability and enterprise value enhancement from STEP UP’s consistent operating profits.
