Nishimatsuya Chain Reports July Sales Growth Below Expectations

TOKYO, Jul 21 (Pulse News Wire) – Nishimatsuya Chain CO.,LTD. (7545.T) reported a sales growth rate of 103.0% for July compared to the same month last year.

Despite favorable performance in childcare and fashion accessories, overall sales were impacted by lower-than-expected summer clothing sales due to cooler temperatures earlier in the month. The company's revenue for the fiscal year ending February 2027 showed a cumulative increase of 101.7% for the first half-year period. In July, Nishimatsuya Chain opened two new stores, located in Chiba Prefecture’s Kisarazu Kinada and Yamagata Prefecture’s Yamagata City.

However, the company also closed two outlets, one in Chiba Prefecture and another in Akita Prefecture. As of the end of July, the total number of stores stood at 1,190 locations. Sales per existing store increased by 99.1%, while total sales across all channels, including new stores and online sales, grew by 103.0%.

The company noted that preliminary figures might slightly fluctuate until confirmed.
