Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha Yusen to Acquire Stake in DGMO, Making It a Specified Subsidiary
TOKYO, Jul 30 (Pulse News Wire) – Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (9101.T) resolved at its board meeting held on July 30 to accept a third-party allotment capital increase by Diamond Gas MidOcean Limited (DGMO). As a result, DGMO is expected to become a specified subsidiary of Nippon Yusen due to the increased shareholding.
The transaction is contingent upon regulatory approvals and is scheduled to take place in August or September 2026. DGMO, headquartered in London, was established by Mitsubishi Corporation in 2023 to invest in MidOcean Energy, a liquefied natural gas (LNG) company. With this investment, Nippon Yusen's stake in DGMO’s capital will exceed 10%, making DGMO a specified subsidiary.
DGMO currently holds a capital of and had no revenue in the last three fiscal years ending March 2026.
