Nikko Co. Adjusts Shareholder Benefits and Sets Dividend Policy
TOKYO, Jul 24 (Pulse News Wire) – Nikko CO.,LTD. (6306.T) announced changes to its shareholder benefits program and established a dividend policy aimed at enhancing investor returns.
Effective immediately, shareholders holding 500 shares or more will qualify for revised benefit programs, while those with fewer shares will no longer be eligible. Additionally, the company set a minimum annual dividend per share of ¥40 for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, and ¥50 for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2028. The updated policies aim to ensure stable dividend payouts and improve predictability for long-term investors. Under the new structure, shareholders who hold 500 shares or more and maintain their holdings for at least one year will receive points redeemable for various benefits.
Points increase based on the number of shares held and the duration of ownership, with significant rewards for larger holdings and extended periods. For instance, shareholders with 500 to 1,000 shares will earn 1,000 points after one year, rising to 2,000 points after three years. Those with 1,000 to 1,500 shares will accumulate 3,000 points annually, increasing to 4,000 points after three years. Shareholders with 3,000 shares or more will receive up to 10,000 points, providing substantial benefits.
The company also clarified that previous holding periods will continue to count towards eligibility under the new system.
