Nihon Seikan Reports Major Shareholder Change
TOKYO, Jul 29 (Pulse News Wire) – NIHON SEIKAN K.K. (5905.T) reported a significant change in its major shareholder status.
On July 28, the company received a notification from LTC, which holds shares through Standard Life Assurance Company, indicating an increase in shareholding. As a result, LTC moved from being the second-largest shareholder with 1,330 voting rights (representing 1,330,000 shares) prior to the change to holding 1,474 voting rights (1,474,400 shares) afterward, maintaining its position as the second-largest shareholder.
The company noted that while the notification provides insight into the number of shares held, it does not confirm the actual beneficial ownership of the shares under LTC's name. Additionally, the total number of outstanding shares used for calculating the percentage of voting rights was adjusted by excluding 44,200 non-voting shares, resulting in a base of 1,057,800 shares.
