Nichiban Announces Resignation of External Auditor Kodama Yasushi and Appointment of Ichiwara Ichiro

TOKYO, Jul 31 (Pulse News Wire) – Nichiban CO.,LTD. (4218.T) announced today that external auditor Kodama Yasushi will resign his position effective July 31, 2026.

Due to Kodama's resignation, the company will appoint Ichiwara Ichiro as a replacement auditor to maintain the legal requirement for the number of auditors. Kodama Yasushi cited personal reasons for his departure. Ichiwara Ichiro was selected as a substitute auditor during the company’s 122nd Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders held on June 25, 2026. He meets the qualifications for an external auditor and will also be designated as an independent director according to Tokyo Stock Exchange regulations. Ichiwara Ichiro joined Canon Inc.

In April 1983 and later transferred to Asahi Shinwa Kaikeisha (now Azusa Corporate Auditors LLC) in October 1985. He became a certified public accountant in August 1989 and retired from Azusa Corporate Auditors LLC in September 2014. In December 2014, he founded Sweat Capital Inc., where he currently serves as president. Additionally, he has been serving as an outside director at Meikatsu Industry Co., Ltd. since June 2023.
