NEXT Funds MSCI Japan ETF May End Due to Low Share Count
TOKYO, Jul 17 (Pulse News Wire) – Next Funds Msci Japan Country Selection Index Exchange Traded Fund (2643.T) may terminate due to low share count. As of July 17, the number of beneficiary shares fell below 500,000 for 20 consecutive trading days, triggering potential termination.
The fund could end on September 24, 2026, if the condition persists until August 17, 2026. The exchange listing would cease on September 18, 2026. The ETF's management decided to apply the necessary contractual changes on November 2, 2026, if termination occurs.
Repayment of redemption proceeds will begin within 40 days of the trust’s termination. Additionally, the ETF may be designated as a delisting candidate on August 17, 2026, if conditions remain unchanged. Investors should note that continued operation depends on maintaining sufficient shares.
If the ETF does not terminate, it will continue tracking the MSCI Japan Country Selection Index (with dividends).
