Moriroku Company Posts Strong First Quarter Sales Boosted by ReNova Acquisition
TOKYO, Aug 06 (Pulse News Wire) – Moriroku Company, ltd. (4249.T) reported robust sales growth for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, driven by the consolidation effects of the ReNova acquisition completed in April 2026.
Consolidated revenue reached ¥48.10 billion, marking a significant increase compared to the previous year's figure of ¥3.38 trillion, representing a rise of ¥1.44 trillion or ¥4.250 billion%. Operating profit surged to ¥229.7 billion, up from ¥107.6 billion last year, reflecting a substantial improvement of ¥122.0 billion or ¥11.34 billion%. This was largely due to the positive impact of the ReNova acquisition and increased sales and price adjustments within the chemical sector.
Ordinary profit also saw a notable boost, reaching ¥229.7 billion, an increase of ¥139.1 billion from the prior year’s level of ¥90.60 billion, corresponding to a growth rate of ¥15.36 billion%. The reversal of foreign exchange losses recorded in the same period last year contributed significantly to this uplift. Net profit for the quarter stood at ¥349.8 billion, influenced by negative goodwill arising from the ReNova subsidiary integration, which resulted in a decrease of ¥296.8 billion from the previous year’s net profit of ¥52.90 billion, indicating a decline of ¥56.05 billion%.
Looking ahead, Moriroku expects continued strong performance across its operations, particularly in resin processing products and chemicals, with projected revenues growing by 60,728 million yen or ¥3.400 billion% over the next quarter.
