Mitsui E&S Reports Strong First Quarter Results Amid Stable Operations Across Segments

– Mitsui E&S CO.,LTD. (7003.T) reported robust first quarter results for the fiscal year ending March 2027, driven by stable operations across various segments.

Revenue reached August 03, 2026 ¥1000 billion, up from ¥900 billion in the same period last year. Operating profit increased by 10%, reaching ¥200 billion compared to ¥180 billion previously. Net profit rose to ¥800 billion from ¥700 billion in the prior year. In detail, the growth promotion segment saw orders rise due to higher demand for construction machinery engines, leading to revenue growth of ¥115 billion, up from ¥80 billion. The marine propulsion systems division experienced a significant increase in sales of methanol-burning engines, pushing revenues to ¥405 billion despite a decline in operating profits to ¥38 billion. Logistics systems recorded steady progress in large-scale projects, contributing to a revenue jump to ¥171 billion and operating profit of ¥30 billion.

Looking ahead, Mitsui E&S revised its full-year forecast upward based on improved performance and favorable conditions in the Middle East. The company expects overall revenue of ¥2000 billion, with operating profit projected at ¥600 billion, reflecting a 6.3% increase from previous estimates. The firm also plans to maintain its dividend payout ratio of 50%. The company's capital position remained strong, with total assets standing at ¥2286 billion, down slightly from the previous year. Cash flow showed a decrease in operational expenses but improvements in investment activities. Financial activities saw an outflow of ¥167 billion primarily due to debt repayments and dividend payments.

Mitsui E&S will hold an investor briefing to discuss these results further.
