Mitsui Continues Employee Share Plan Amid Strategic Goals
TOKYO, Aug 04 (Pulse News Wire) – Mitsui & CO.,LTD. (8031.F) decided to continue its employee share compensation program initiated in September 2020.
The move supports long-term value enhancement and aligns staff actions with the company's strategic goals outlined in its mid-term plans for 2023 and 2029. Under the plan, Mitsui will entrust additional funds to the existing trust, enabling the trustee, Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, to acquire up to 9,336,300 shares of Mitsui stock worth ¥45.51 billion. The acquisition is scheduled for August 20, 2026, contingent upon the effectiveness of securities filings under the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act.
The trust will conclude in August 2029. This initiative aims to foster a culture of commitment among employees towards sustainable growth and innovation, reinforcing their engagement with the company’s vision beyond 2030.
