Mitsubishi Estate Company Posts Strong Q1 Profits, Sets Record Highs

– Mitsubishi Estate Company,limited (8802.T) reported robust operating profit and net income for the quarter ended June 2026, marking significant improvements compared to the same period last year. Operating profit reached ¥121.2 billion, up 94% percent year-over-year, while net profit attributable to parent shareholders was ¥95.40 billion, representing a 198% percent increase.

Both metrics set record highs for the first quarter. Domestically, sales from office buildings and condominium units drove growth. Overseas, the sale of prime office properties such as London's Warwick Court and Sydney’s 180 George Street contributed significantly to the earnings boost. Additionally, the Marunouchi business division saw increased profits due to rent hikes and improved vacancy rates, which stood at 0.49% percent as of June 2026.

For the fiscal year ending March 2027, the company forecasts achieving record-high operating profit of ¥370.0 billion and net profit of ¥235.0 billion. Return on equity (ROE) is expected to remain around 9% percent. Regarding shareholder returns, Mitsubishi Estate has decided on a share buyback program of 50.00 billion shares initially, with additional purchases planned throughout the fiscal year. As of July 31, 2026, approximately 23.00 billion shares had already been acquired.
