Metaplanet Major Shareholder Changes Confirmed

TOKYO, Jul 21 (Pulse News Wire) – Metaplanet Inc. (3350.T) confirmed changes in major shareholders and controlling shareholder status effective July 13, 2026.

According to filings submitted to the Kanto Finance Bureau, Capital Research and Management Company became a significant holder with direct holdings of 1,186,504 voting rights, representing approximately 1.00%. Prior to the change, the entity held 1,186,504 voting rights, accounting for roughly 0.99%. Post-change, their stake increased slightly but remained the largest among shareholders, holding 1,360,591 total voting rights, now comprising around 1.00%.

The total number of outstanding voting rights used for calculations was based on the share count reported in the filing dated July 21, 2026. As of March 31, 2026, the total voting rights stood at 118,650,420, while as of June 30, 2026, it adjusted to 136,059,120 due to recent stock issuances. There are no additional significant developments anticipated in relation to these changes.
