Metalart RAISES FY27 MID-YEAR FORECAST DRIVEN BY AUTO AND AGRICULTURAL SECTOR GAINS
TOKYO, Aug 06 (Pulse News Wire) – MetalArt Corporation (5644.T) revised upward its fiscal 2027 mid-year earnings forecast due to strong performance across several sectors. For the six months ending September 30, 2026, the company now expects revenue of ¥22.20 billion, operating profit of ¥1.480 billion, ordinary profit of ¥1.580 billion, and net income attributable to parent shareholders of ¥750 million per share, up from previous estimates of ¥22.00 billion, ¥1.070 billion, ¥1.080 billion, and ¥440 million respectively.
The improved outlook reflects robust sales trends in domestic small cars within the automotive division and increased production of commercial vehicles and export-bound units by overseas subsidiaries. Additionally, agricultural machinery and other segments have also exceeded initial projections. Enhanced product mix, cost reduction efforts, and overall expense control contribute to higher profitability expectations.
For the full fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, MetalArt forecasts revenue of ¥43.60 billion, operating profit of ¥2.740 billion, ordinary profit of ¥2.840 billion, and net income attributable to parent shareholders of ¥1.610 billion per share, marking increases of ¥200 million, ¥330 million, ¥420 million, and ¥240 million compared to earlier guidance. Notably, the impact of the August 6, 2026 earthquake in Kumamoto remains unquantified and is not reflected in the current forecast. Any necessary adjustments will be communicated promptly should conditions warrant.
