Mercari Reports Higher Revenue and Operating Profit for FY26

– Mercari, inc. (4385.T) reported higher revenue and operating profit for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, compared to the previous year.

Basic earnings per share increased due to growth across all three businesses—Marketplace, Fintech, and US operations. The company also noted a significant increase in deferred tax assets, leading to changes in income tax expenses. For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, Mercari's consolidated revenue was ¥229.3 billion, up from ¥192.6 billion in the prior year.

Core operating profit rose to ¥44.18 billion from ¥27.57 billion. Net income saw a substantial rise to ¥35.43 billion, reflecting improved operational performance and adjustments in tax liabilities. In individual results, sales grew to ¥130.0 billion from ¥111.5 billion, while operating profit reached ¥32.01 billion compared to ¥22.35 billion previously.

The increase in net profit to ¥21.82 billion was influenced by fluctuations in corporate income taxes, which differed significantly from the prior year’s recognition of partial impairment losses on related party equity investments.
