Medicinova Completes Enrollment of 200 Patients in ALS Trial

TOKYO, Jul 15 (Pulse News Wire) – Medicinova,inc. (4875.T) announced that it has completed enrollment of 200 patients in the SEANOBI-ALS clinical trial evaluating the efficacy of MN-166 (Ibudilast) for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

Funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the study provides expanded access to treatment for patients ineligible for the COMBAT-ALS trial. Additionally, the trial collects important biomarker data related to ALS progression. We deeply appreciate the participation of patients and families, as well as the support from NIH and NINDS.” Final follow-up visits for enrolled patients are scheduled to conclude early 2027, followed by data analysis and academic presentations. Meanwhile, the Phase 2b/3 randomized placebo-controlled trial (COMBAT-ALS) continues with 234 patient enrollments complete so far. Top-line results from this trial are expected by the end of 2026.
