Material Group to Adopt IFRS for Consolidated Financial Statements Starting August 2026 Fiscal Year
TOKYO, Jul 14 (Pulse News Wire) – Material Group Inc. (156A.T) announced today that its board of directors has decided to adopt International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for its consolidated financial statements beginning with the fiscal year ending August 2026.
The decision was made to enhance international comparability and convenience of financial information in capital markets, aiming to strengthen the group's foundation and improve enterprise value. The transition schedule includes applying IFRS to interim reports starting from the fourth quarter of the fiscal year ending August 2026.
Quarterly and semi-annual reports for the fiscal year ending August 2026 will continue to follow Japanese standards, while the final quarterly report and annual securities report will switch to IFRS. For the fiscal year ending August 2027, performance forecasts will be disclosed based on both Japanese and IFRS standards, with plans to also publish the August 2026 fiscal year results according to IFRS at a later date.
