Marubeni Transfers Shares to ASEAN Subsidiary
TOKYO, Jul 30 (Pulse News Wire) – Marubeni Corporation (8002.T) announced that it has decided to contribute shares of its power generation company in Singapore Kyouwakoku to its subsidiary, Marubeni ASEAN Pte. Ltd., making it a significant affiliate.
Marubeni ASEAN Pte. Ltd., located at 138 Market Street, #31-01 CapitaGreen, Singapore 48,946, operates primarily in importing and exporting materials and domestic sales. Its capital was increased from $53 million to $185 million (planned).
Established on February 23, 1991, the company's fiscal year ends in March. As of the latest three-year period ending March 2026, its net assets stood at ¥19.405 billion, total assets at ¥94.372 billion, and revenue reached ¥118.407 billion. The transaction is scheduled to take place in August 2026 and is expected to have no impact on the consolidated performance for the fiscal year ending March 2027.
