Maeda Kosen appoints directors and auditors for upcoming shareholder meeting

TOKYO, Aug 07 (Pulse News Wire) – Maeda Kosen CO.,LTD. (7821.T) announced on August 7 that it had appointed candidates for directors and auditors at its board meeting held on the same day.

The appointments will be presented for approval at the 54th regular shareholders' meeting scheduled for September 25, 2026. The newly appointed director candidate is Koichi Koshibe, while the new auditor candidate is Masanori Hayashi. Koshibe joined Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Corporation in 1978 and served in various executive roles until his appointment as an outside director at Chemipaz Co., Ltd. in January 2024. He currently holds advisory positions at several companies and institutions, including JEPLAN Corp. and Osaka University.

Hayashi was born on July 19, 1953, and began his career at Fukui Prefectural Government in April 1978. He later served as the head of multiple departments within the prefecture and educational institutions, including the position of president at Fukui Prefectural University. He is currently a member of the management council at National University Corporation Fukui University. Directors Yukitoshi Maeda, Takahiro Maeda, Yasuo Saito, Shige nobu Akimasa, and Fumiko Fukuda, along with auditors Tomoo Mimura and Hitoshi Yamakawa, will continue their roles. Additionally, two directors—Koichi Koshibe and Minoru Kosobe—and two auditors—Tomoo Mimura and Hitoshi Yamakawa—are designated as outside directors. Director Takahiro Maeda is the son of CEO Yukitoshi Maeda.
