Ligua to Record Payment Settlement Loss in Q1 FY2027
TOKYO, Jul 24 (Pulse News Wire) – Ligua Inc. (7090.T) announced plans to record a payment settlement loss of approximately ¥32.5 million in its consolidated financial statements for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027.
The loss stems from a court-approved settlement related to a damages compensation lawsuit involving former subsidiary FP Design. Under the terms of a previous agreement, Ligua is obligated to compensate FP Design for certain losses and reasonable legal fees arising from the litigation. Details of the lawsuit and opposing party remain undisclosed due to confidentiality agreements.
The total amount includes a settlement sum of ¥30 million. While the final figure for legal expenses is still being reviewed, Ligua stated it would promptly inform stakeholders of any significant changes. Regarding future outlook, while the company does not anticipate altering its previously disclosed annual earnings forecast as of May 14, 2026, it remains vigilant and will update projections should circumstances necessitate adjustments.
