Liberta Reports Second Quarter Revenue Increase Despite Missed Sales Goals
TOKYO, Aug 07 (Pulse News Wire) – Liberta CO.,LTD. (4935.T) reported a revenue increase of ¥632 million for the six months ending June 2026 compared to the same period last year.
However, the company missed sales goals due to delayed summer temperature increases affecting product launches such as "FREEZETECH" functional clothing in certain markets. Cosmetics and toiletries saw significant growth, driven by successful product launches and increased distribution channels. Notably, the oral care brand "Denitis" experienced strong sales growth from large-scale promotions and new product introductions. Additionally, the toilet cleaner brand "Hedorotoranado" contributed positively to overall revenues.
Despite missing sales targets, Liberta managed to exceed operating profit and EBITDA forecasts through cost management measures and strategic advertising investments. Operating profit was ¥375 million, up from ¥425 million forecasted, while EBITDA reached ¥246 million against a projected loss of ¥314 million. Net income attributable to shareholders fell slightly to ¥303 million from ¥301 million expected. In the balance sheet, cash and equivalents increased by ¥76 million, reflecting improved operational efficiency and capital adjustments.
The company also noted an increase in inventory assets due to anticipated higher demand for products like "FREEZETECH," which is set to expand further in the coming quarters.
