Kyowa Leather Cloth Exceeds FY2026 Forecast Due to Dollar Strength
TOKYO, May 08 (Pulse News Wire) – Kyowa Leather Cloth CO.,LTD. (3553.T) reported its consolidated earnings for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, which exceeded previous forecasts due to favorable exchange rates and changes in special items.
According to the company's latest figures, revenue was recorded at ¥55.82 billion, operating profit at ¥920 million, ordinary profit at ¥1.006 billion, and net income per share stood at ¥655 million. These results represent increases of 2.4%, 22.7%, 18.4%, and 45.7%, respectively, compared to the forecast released on February 06, 2026.
The improved performance was attributed primarily to stronger-than-expected dollar appreciation against the yen during the fiscal year. Additionally, certain non-operating expenses previously anticipated in the forecast were reclassified as extraordinary gains, contributing further to the higher net income.
