TOKYO, Jun 24 (Pulse News Wire) – Kyoei Steel Ltd. (5440.T) disclosed that Nippon Steel Corp.

Holds 28.1% of its voting rights as of March 31, 2026. Nippon Steel owns 26.7% directly and another 1.4% through subsidiaries. Despite holding a significant stake, Nippon Steel does not participate in Kyoei Steel’s operational decision-making processes nor engage in related contracts.

Kyoei Steel operates independently, bearing sole responsibility for its management. As of now, a member of Nippon Steel serves as a non-executive auditor for Kyoei Steel, but strict firewalls ensure appropriate information management within the company. Only one out of fourteen directors at Kyoei Steel concurrently serves in a position related to Nippon Steel.
