Kusurinomadoguchi to Acquire Blankpad for Talent Matching Synergy

TOKYO, Jul 23 (Pulse News Wire) – Kusurinomadoguchi,inc. (5592.T) resolved at a board meeting on July 23, 2026 to acquire Blankpad Co., making it a wholly-owned subsidiary.

The move aims to enhance talent matching services within the pharmacy sector by combining Blankpad's personality analysis technology with Kusurinomadoguchi’s recruitment expertise. Blankpad specializes in comprehensive human resources matching platforms based on personality diagnostics and AI analysis. By integrating Blankpad’s analytical tools, Kusurinomadoguchi expects to improve hiring efficiency and employee retention rates among its pharmacy clients. Additionally, leveraging existing relationships with major pharmacy chains, the acquisition could expand service offerings and boost profitability through increased client satisfaction and higher utilization of Blankpad’s analytics.

Key figures show Blankpad had a capital of ¥61 million and reported net losses of ¥39 million and ¥47 million in fiscal years ending July 2024 and 2025, respectively. The acquisition price was determined based on a fair value assessment conducted by an independent third-party firm, ensuring transparency and fairness in the transaction. Scheduled completion of the share transfer is set for July 31, 2026. Post-acquisition, Blankpad will contribute to Kusurinomadoguchi’s consolidated financial statements starting from the second quarter of fiscal year 2027, though the impact on earnings is expected to be minor.
