Komatsu Matere Acquires Uniuf to Enhance High-Value Market Competitiveness
TOKYO, Jul 31 (Pulse News Wire) – Komatsu Matere CO.,LTD. (3580.T) announced on July 31 that it had resolved to acquire shares of Uniuf Corporation, making it a subsidiary.
The acquisition aims to leverage Komatsu's strengths in materials, funding, distribution channels, and production capacity to complement Uniuf’s design and customer engagement capabilities, thereby enhancing competitiveness in high-value markets. Uniuf Corporation, based in Hiroshima, Hiroshima Shi Higashi Ku Ushida Shinmachi, operates in the planning, manufacturing, sales, and leasing of uniforms for businesses and schools. It was established on April 26, 1977 with a capital of ¥37.5 million. The company reported net assets of ¥169 million, ¥162 million, and ¥169 million for fiscal years ending February 2024, 2025, and 2026, respectively. Revenue stood at ¥509 million, ¥591 million, and ¥405 million during the same periods.
Komatsu MATERE acquired 302 shares of Uniuf on July 31, bringing its total holdings to 302 shares post-acquisition. Details of the transaction price remain confidential due to confidentiality agreements but are deemed reasonable based on objective criteria. The share transfer is scheduled to take place on August 5, 2026. Regarding the impact on Komatsu MATERE’s consolidated performance for the current accounting period, the company stated that it is currently assessing the effects.
