Koito Manufacturing SEEKS TO MAINTAIN INDEPENDENCE DESPITE TOYOTA'S MAJORITY SHARE HOLDING

TOKYO, May 13 (Pulse News Wire) – Koito Manufacturing CO.,LTD. (7276.T) disclosed that Toyota Motor Corporation holds 21.0% of its voting rights, making it a significant related party.

Despite this, Koito maintains operational independence without facing approval constraints from Toyota. However, Koito's operating performance could be impacted by fluctuations in Toyota’s automotive sales, which accounted for 28.84% of Koito’s consolidated revenue for the fiscal year ending March 2026.
