Kitahama Capital Partners Buys Solar Power Assets from Trust Corporation

– Kitahama Capital Partners CO.,LTD. (2134.T) announced today that its subsidiary, Trust Corporation, has decided to acquire solar power generation equipment from Marimo Life Corp.

The acquisition involves 14 solar power facilities, each with a capacity of 49.5 kW. The move follows delays in payments from Marimo Life to KR Energy, leading to contract termination. By acquiring these assets, Kitahama Capital aims to shift its business model from one-time project profits to stable long-term revenue through electricity sales. The transaction's value remains undisclosed due to potential future resale plans but is expected to be less than 10% of the group’s consolidated net assets as of the previous fiscal year. The acquired assets are considered high-quality, with Trust Corporation overseeing procurement and construction management.

Kitahama Capital expects the purchase to strengthen its renewable energy business foundation significantly. However, the impact on the fiscal year ending March 2027 is still being assessed and has not yet been reflected in the previously disclosed earnings forecast. As of June 2026, Trust Corporation had a capital of ¥230 million and total assets of ¥2.080 billion. Marimo Life, established on September 1, 2021, focuses on energy efficiency and environmental projects. The acquisition is set to take place, contingent upon final contractual agreements.
