J.Front Retailing to Close Omoideya Shimonoseki Store in August 2027

TOKYO, Jun 30 (Pulse News Wire) – J.front Retailing CO.,LTD. (3086.NG) announced plans to close its Omoideya Shimonoseki store located at Yamaguchi, Shimonoseki Shi Takezaki Machi 4-4-10, Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, by the end of August 2027.

The store, which opened in November 1950, has faced declining revenue trends in recent years despite efforts to strengthen operations and refresh product offerings. The store's closure follows a thorough evaluation of its surrounding environment.

With a sales floor area of approximately 23,912 square meters and total annual sales of ¥6.863 billion (based on fiscal year 2025 performance), the decision was made to cease operations due to ongoing challenges in maintaining profitability. In addition to the operational costs associated with closing the store, J.FRONT RETAILING anticipates potential impacts on its consolidated financial results for the fiscal year ending February 2027.
