Japan Material to Fully Acquire Subsidiary GBS Singapore
TOKYO, Jul 23 (Pulse News Wire) – Japan Material CO.,LTD. (6055.NG) announced on July 23 that its board of directors resolved to acquire additional shares of its subsidiary GBS (Singapore) Pte.
Ltd., making it a wholly-owned entity. The move aims to enhance group coordination and strengthen management foundations amid changes in the operating environment. GBS (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., located in Singapore, operates in semiconductor manufacturing equipment parts sales and automotive vision system sales. It was established on November 26, 2003, with a capital of 380,000 Singapore dollars.
Prior to the acquisition, Japan Material held 98,000 shares and ATS Technologies Services Pte. Ltd., another subsidiary, held 42,000 shares, totaling 140,000 shares. Post-acquisition, Japan Material will hold 140,000 shares, while ATS Technologies Services will hold 60,000 shares, bringing the total to 200,000 shares. The share purchase is scheduled to be executed on July 30, 2026. The company expects the transaction to have a minor impact on its consolidated performance for the current fiscal period but will promptly inform stakeholders if significant effects emerge.
