Japan Lifeline Enhances Board Effectiveness Through Self-Assessment Survey

– Japan Lifeline CO.,LTD. (7575.T) disclosed the results of its board effectiveness assessment conducted during the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026.

The evaluation was based on a self-assessment survey completed by all 13 directors between March 31, 2026, and April 14, 2026, facilitated by external experts to ensure objectivity. The analysis revealed that the board effectively fulfilled its roles and functions across various areas, including governance structure, strategic planning, ethical standards, performance evaluation, shareholder engagement, and nomination committees.

Notably, improvements were observed in fostering open discussions among outside directors through pre-meeting briefings and enhanced training programs for newly appointed directors. However, challenges remain in advancing digital transformation initiatives and establishing robust IT infrastructure and cybersecurity management systems.

To address these ongoing issues, Japan Lifeline plans to continue regular assessments and implement measures aimed at enhancing board effectiveness and supporting long-term growth.
