(JJP). The changes involve issuing new shares to Japan Policy Investment Bank (DBJ) and Cantas Group (QAG), with DBJ subscribing to the newly issued shares and JJP acquiring existing shares from QAG through a buyback. Following this, JJP plans to cancel the acquired shares. The agreement is set to take effect upon completion of negotiations by July 2026 and signatures from all parties involved.
Key milestones include establishing a new shareholder relationship by October 2026 and completing the share transfer process by June 2027. However, these timelines could be subject to further discussions and regulatory approvals. Japan Airlines stated that the impact on its consolidated performance will be minor. Any significant developments will be disclosed promptly.
