Isamu Paint Reports Lightning Damage at Shiga Plant Affecting Operations

TOKYO, Aug 04 (Pulse News Wire) – Isamu Paint CO.,LTD. (4624.T) reported lightning damage at its Shiga plant, causing temporary disruption to product shipments.

On July 28 around 10 p.m., equipment malfunction due to lightning struck the automated warehouse at the plant located at 8-2-1, Sakurai, Shiga Prefecture. While there were no human injuries, some products and equipment sustained damage.

Operations had ceased since July 29, but under guidance from relevant authorities, shipment activities are gradually resuming. The company expects the impact on its consolidated earnings for the current fiscal period to be minor, though further assessment is ongoing.

Isamu Paint stated it would take necessary measures to prevent future incidents through discussions with external contractors.
