Intage Holdings Posts Lower-than-Estimated FY26 Results Due to Impairment Loss

– INTAGE HOLDINGS Inc. (4326.T) reported lower-than-estimated fiscal year 2026 results due to impairment losses totaling ¥1.439 billion.

The company also recorded extraordinary expenses of ¥1.400 billion related to Research & Innovation Co., Ltd.'s loan provisions. Despite strong performance in core businesses, overall revenue fell short of forecasts, leading to a significant drop in net profit per share to ¥44.6 million compared to the previous estimate of ¥83.8 million. In detail, the company's operating profit exceeded expectations, reaching ¥5.752 billion against a forecast of ¥5.600 billion.

However, ordinary profit came in slightly below estimates at ¥5.753 billion versus ¥5.500 billion anticipated. The substantial decline in net profit was primarily attributed to the impairment loss recognized in the consolidated financial statements. INTAGE HOLDINGS noted that while ongoing efforts to improve profitability across segments contributed positively to operational metrics, the shortfall in growth initiatives did not meet initial projections, resulting in a net profit decrease of 46.8%.

The company previously disclosed its full-year outlook on August 05, 2025, which now shows a deviation from actual figures.
