Image Information forms strategic tie-up with FonFun for IT projects

TOKYO, Jul 21 (Pulse News Wire) – Image Information Inc. (3803.T) announced it entered into a business partnership agreement with FonFun (4374.T) on July 21.

The collaboration focuses on system development and SES services, aiming to enhance resource allocation and expand into high-value AI domains. Under the agreement, the companies will share engineering resources, cross-sell to existing clients, and jointly develop AI talent programs. Image Information reported a lower net profit of ¥259 million for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, despite a revenue increase to ¥731 million (up 13.2% compared to the previous year). FonFun, which specializes in DX solutions and cloud services, saw its revenue grow to ¥2.111 billion (up 66.5%) and recorded operating profit of ¥242 million for the same period.

The partnership also includes exploring the integration of AI technology into BP operations to boost efficiency. Both firms aim to leverage their complementary strengths to secure larger and more complex digital transformation projects. Image Information's board approved the deal without conflicts of interest, as two directors who serve on both boards abstained during the vote.
