Howa Machinery Completes Share Repurchase Plan, Acquires Over 1 Million Shares

– Howa Machinery,ltd. (6203.T) completed its share repurchase plan on August 7, acquiring a total of 60,000 shares through the ToSTNeT-3 system operated by the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

The acquisition was made pursuant to a resolution passed during the board meeting held on August 6, which authorized the purchase of up to 60,000 shares, representing 0.49% of the outstanding shares excluding treasury stock. The total cost of the repurchased shares amounted to ¥87.5 million.

The acquired shares will be used for future equity distributions under the employee incentive program “Stock Grant Trust (J-ESOP).” This initiative aims to enhance flexibility in capital policy in response to changing business environments. In addition, the company’s board of directors decided to terminate the share repurchase program effective August 7, marking the end of the operation as per the previously approved resolution.
