Harima Chemicals Group SELLS SUNPINE AB SHARES COMPLETING SALE

TOKYO, Jul 10 (Pulse News Wire) – Harima Chemicals Group,inc. (4410.T) completed the sale of its shares in Swedish subsidiary SunPine AB to fellow shareholder VAROPreem AB.

The transaction, initially disclosed on Feb 19, involved selling shares indirectly held through its subsidiary Lawter Europe BV. The proceeds from the share sale amounting to approximately ¥3.700 billion (estimated figure) will be recorded as special income in the third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027.

Harima plans to allocate the funds towards growth area equipment investments and debt reduction to improve its financial structure. In case of any significant changes to earnings forecasts due to this transaction, the company will promptly update stakeholders.
