GREE Holdings Reports Mixed Results for Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2026

– Gree Holdings, inc. (3632.T) reported mixed results for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, compared to the previous year.

Revenue declined due to soft performance in existing game titles, while operating profit saw significant growth driven by foreign exchange gains. For the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, revenue decreased to ¥51.32 billion from ¥57.11 billion in the prior year, marking a decline of 10.1%. Operating profit was ¥4.026 billion from ¥4.860 billion, representing a drop of 17.2%. However, ordinary profit surged to ¥4.936 billion from ¥3.760 billion, a substantial increase of 31.3%, primarily attributed to favorable foreign exchange rates impacting the company's foreign-currency denominated assets. In individual performance, revenue dropped significantly to ¥2.765 billion from ¥6.012 billion, reflecting a decrease of 54.0%. Operating profit also declined to ¥1.368 billion from ¥1.814 billion, down 24.6%.

Ordinary profit decreased to ¥2.508 billion from ¥5.554 billion, a reduction of 54.8%. Net income per share plummeted to ¥1.9 million from ¥21.1 million, indicating a sharp decline of 91.1%. Additionally, GREE recorded a foreign exchange gain of ¥881 million during the fiscal year, which was included in non-operating income. This gain contributed positively to the overall profitability despite the challenges faced in core operations. The company’s restructuring efforts, including the absorption of some business units into Gree Corporation effective January 1, 2025, further impacted earnings negatively. Reduced dividend receipts from subsidiaries and the write-off of part of the debt owed by Gree Corporation led to lower net profits.
