G-Next Ends Capital Alliance With R-Devices, Continues Business Collaboration
TOKYO, Jul 22 (Pulse News Wire) – G-NEXT Inc. (4179.T) resolved at a board meeting held on July 22, 2026 to dissolve its capital alliance with R-Devices while continuing their business collaboration.
The decision was made due to a reassessment of both companies' strategic directions and resource allocation. In January 2026, G-NEXT entered into a capital and business alliance with R-Devices aimed at leveraging mutual strengths to enhance corporate value. However, recent reviews indicated that maintaining solely a business partnership could achieve the same objectives without a capital tie-up. As a result, G-NEXT agreed to sell back its entire holding of 196 common shares in R-Devices, representing a voting rights stake of 10.0%, to major shareholder Miura Jinichi for ¥32.0 million. Payment will be made in three installments.
Following the completion of the share transfer, G-NEXT will no longer hold any equity in R-Devices. Both companies plan to continue collaborating on hardware projects post-capital dissolution. R-Devices, established on July 7, 2000, operates in IT asset disposition and e-commerce services. It maintains a capital of ¥98 million and is headquartered at Saitama, Kazo Shi Kita Shinozaki. This move is expected to have a minor impact on G-NEXT's performance.
